October 2020:
Pray with the Saints
MEET THE SAINT
OF THE MONTH!

St. Thérèse of Lisieux, the “Little Flower,” lived a simple, hidden life of prayer and love. What inspiration can we gain from learning about the life of this young saint of God? How can we pray for the intercession of St. Thérèse?

Check out the video below where Chase Hawkins, an intern at Saint Pius X currently in his second year of the Master of Divinity program at the University of Notre Dame, shares some thoughts on St. Thérèse and the impact her life has left on the Church and the world.
BIBLE STUDY
with Fr. Bill
and Sally

Bible Study is now offered at the parish on Thursday mornings immediately following the 8:45 a.m. Mass.

Bible Study is also live on Facebook at the same time!

Finally, Bible Study is recorded each week and can be found on the parish website, StPius.net. Below is the link to this week's recording.

Note: Technical difficulties prevented the video to record. The audio is available below.
The Annual
Bishop's Appeal
The Annual Bishop's Appeal supports the work of our Local Church (our Diocese), those ministries which serve the Local Church and the work of the Parochial Church (our parish).

"The Annual Bishop’s Appeal is an opportunity for all of us to participate in the Church’s mission in "Spreading the Light of God’s Love." Although it is entitled ‘Annual Bishop’s Appeal,’ this major effort each year is not really about ‘the bishop,’ as much as it is about our love for Christ and our love for His Church. It really is an invitation to live our faith and commitment to our Lord’s mission."
 Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades

There's still time to support the Annual Bishop's Appeal! Please, complete the card that was mailed to your home, or donate online: DioceseFWSB.org/ABA. Thank you!
MOTHER OF DIVINE LOVE PRAYER

The following prayer will replace the parish stewardship prayer at Mass until further notice.

Mother of Divine Love, we entrust to you our nation and world, our families and loved ones, that we may be spared the worst of this illness.

In this time of trial and testing, hear the cries of those who are vulnerable and fearful.

For those already afflicted, obtain the grace of healing and deliverance.

For those working to help the sick and bring an end to this crisis, obtain the strength to continue their work.

Shelter us under the mantle of your protection, conform us to the will of the Father, remind us always of the love of your Son, Jesus, and bring his peace to our land and to our hearts.

Amen.
Saint Rocco, protector against the plague and all contagious diseases, pray for us!
