Dear Hart Families,
Do you remember the cold, windy day that we planted tulips in front of our school? Well, they are starting to bloom, and it is a beautiful splash of color and a great reminder of how much we have grown this year. On Monday night, some of our students had the opportunity to see their artwork in the LHS Art Gallery. Mrs. Sexton and our students have done an amazing job of growing as artists this year. The Hart Gallery will be open through next week. If you haven't had an opportunity to see the fantastic artwork, please stop by the LHS Gallery which is open every day until 5.

As you can see, we are still in next to last place for attendance. I know that we can move up on the leader board! We look forward to seeing our third graders perform next Tuesday at 6:30 pm, and hope that you will be able to join us to celebrate all of their hard work. As we look ahead from now to the end of the year, we have a lot of events happening, so please pay close attention to the calendar. Lost and Found
Our Lost and Found is overflowing with items. Please take a look at the pictures below or stop by the school to look for any items that your child(ren) may be missing. Please note: ALL Lost and Found will be DONATED on Wednesday, April 20th. If your child(ren) has not claimed their items by then, the items will be donated to charity.

Spring & Class Pictures: Ordering
When the pictures are available to order, you will receive an email from CareyLynn Photography where you can order Spring Pictures, Class Pictures, and even Fall Pictures if you missed ordering those. Order within the first 7 days after you receive the email from CareyLynn, and get free delivery to the school. Home delivery fees apply after that. If you have any questions regarding our ordering pictures, please contact Janean Mancini at 469.742.8200 or janean_mancini@lovejoyisd.net.

February 4th Inclement Weather Update
Following the icy weather that closed schools on February 24, LISD will be requesting a waiver for our K-8 campuses not to make up this day following school board approval on Monday, March 14th. Lovejoy is eligible to file this waiver because our K-8 students will be attending school on April 18th and we have added 3 minutes to the school day to address the days missed on February 3 & 4 due to inclement weather.

3rd Grade: Music Program on March 29th at 6:30pm
3rd Grade is excited to share our Folk Dance Program in a few weeks! Our students will sing and dance to celebrate music from all over the world! We will present the program on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 6:30PM. Third grade families, please see the Hart Music Website for more information and sign the permission form. More details to follow!

CANgineering Project
Are you grocery shopping for the week? We need your help! Hart Elementary is participating in the CANgineering event for the STEM Festival. We are going to be collecting cans to be used in the build. Please see the list below for items needed. All items will be donated to Allen Community Outreach after the event. Thank you in advance for supporting the CANgineering event!
300 Green Labeled Cans such as sweet peas, green beans, asparagus, etc. (14.5 oz)
100 Cans of any type (14.5 oz)
There is a labeled drop-off box located inside the front doors of Hart Elementary. We will be collecting items through April 15th.

The Keep Lucas Beautiful (KLB) Spring Cleanup will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 9:00am - 1:00pm. KLB is committed to ensuring the Lucas community remains a clean and beautiful place to live. KLB programs focused on efforts to keep the community litter-free, preserving the natural environment, and promoting sustainable practices.
