Paws for Panthers 2019 Holiday Campaign:
We are inviting our MPSH PTSA families to support our PfP Holiday Campaign. This year we have fifteen students in the program at MPSH. There are multiple ways you can help. You are welcome to contribute in as many of the following ways as you wish:

1.Sponsor a student.

2.Donate an electronic item.

3.Send a contribution.

1.Sponsor a student.
Ana Garces, our Social Worker, is composing a list of needs and wishes for each student in the program (each student is listing up to three items). Each sponsor family will be playing a Secret Santa role to the student they are assigned. Each sponsor will select and purchase at least one of the “in need” items from their assigned student list. If you want to team up with another family, you are most welcome to do so.
The contents of the list varies by teen. Last year, typical items were sneakers, sweat pants or a case for their phone or tablet.

2.Donate an electronic item.
What did you do with the tablet or laptop you replaced earlier this year? Are you planning replacing either of them this coming Black Friday? If it is in excellent working condition, let us know! In last year’s “wish list”, several students asked for tablets or laptops. Most of our teens are in their senior year, so these electronics will follow them into the next step of their lives.
If you are interested in donating an electronic item, we strongly encourage you to perform a full disk clean-up, delete passwords, clear browsers and make sure essential licenses are up to date. All files should be removed or deleted.

3.Send a contribution.
If you want to keep it simple, monetary contributions to the campaign are most welcome too. If you opt for this route, please send your checks to Miami Palmetto Senior High, PTSA. In the memo section write down “Holiday Campaign”. The money will be pooled to cover outstanding wish list items and include a Holiday meal for each or our kids.

Those willing to support the campaign in any of the above options please let us know as soon as possible:
John Stanham

Dana March

Join us in making our students at PfP feel how much the MPSH PTSA families love and care for them!
Thank you for your continued generosity. Happy Holidays!
Panthers Got Talent Show:

High School Field Facelift:

WE STILL NEED HELP!!

WANTED! Volunteers to join an important task force that will leave a legacy at our school. As you know our school is going through a $50 million+ renovation and will soon be Miami-Dade County’s flagship high school. However, our field needs a facelift as well, and a field update is not included in the GOB project scope.

We are looking for a few good community members (parents, alumni, community members, whomever!) to take on a fundraiser to get us a new field in conjunction with the brand-new school we will be getting. We already have a few interested volunteers but more is needed (this is a great project for dads, too). Palmetto has a huge network of not only current families, but alumni, current and past staff members, and community members and business owners who we could reach out to for funding. Interested? Contact Gina Vinueza, Palmetto High PTSA President, at [email protected] . Let’s get this ball rolling (get it).
GET YOUR PALMETTO SPIRIT WEAR:

The Miami Palmetto Senior's PTSA school store is operated by Sharingwear.org , a charitable organization founded and operated by Nicole Marks, a Palmetto High junior. Sharingwear's Palmetto Senior Online Store is the sole PTSA/school source to buy dress code shirts for Palmetto Senior as the Palmetto Senior PTSA does not operate a physical store at school. All clothing featured on Sharingwear's Palmetto Senior Online Store are approved by Miami Palmetto Senior High as qualified dress code attire that can be worn to school five days a week.
Designs can be purchased in multiple clothing styles (tshirts, sweatshirts, etc.) and some designs are available in multiple colors. Orders are custom printed and take 2-3 weeks for delivery. Several great new designs have been added.

All profits from Sharingwear's Palmetto Senior Online Store are shared 50% with the Palmetto Senior PTSA and 50% with Sharingwear's Charity of the Month. The current Charity of the Month is Paws for Panthers, Palmetto Senior's own charitable organization, which assists MPSH students who are experiencing serious financial hardship.

Please visit SharingWear.org to stock up on Palmetto gear!
Have Something You Want to Share?
If there is something you would like to share in the MPSH weekly e-blast, please email [email protected] by the end of the school day every Friday.
