Certified Fraud Examiner - CFE
Four-year college bound students who enjoy criminal investigation but do not want to be police officers, may enjoy learning about the CFE Credential.

Applicants must have a Bachelor degree; no specific major is required although Accounting and Criminal Justice majors are a plus.
Fraud Examiner skill set includes:
- Understand how fraud is committed and how it can be identified.
- Examine books and records to detect and trace fraudulent transactions.
- Interview suspects to obtain information and confessions.
- Write investigative reports, advise others (clients or government officials) as to their findings, and testify at trial.
- Understand the underlying factors that motivate persons to comit fraud.
