Father Tom is away this week, working as a member of the Transition Committee to facilitate the Walk-About Visits of the Candidates for Bishop of the Diocese of Georgia. He strongly encourages all parishioners who are able, to attend the session tomorrow at Christ Church, beginning at 11:00 am.

| Worship Schedule |
 Join us for weekly worship at Christ Church. Regular weekend worship services take place on Saturdays at 5:30 pm at St. Ignatius Chapel, on Demere Road, and on Sundays at 8:00 am, 9:15 am (church), 9:15 am (parish hall) and 11:15 am at Christ Church, Frederica.
Kidurgy, our Liturgy of the Word for younger children, takes place during the 9:15 am worship service at Christ Church. On Wednesdays, at 12:00 pm, a Healing service is held at Christ Church and at 6:30 pm, X Church takes place.

| All Saints Sunday |
 November 3 is All Saints Sunday this year. This is a time of reflection and celebration, as we remember those who have died. We will be collecting their names for the All Saints Book of Remembrance. If you would like to have the name of someone who has died since last year's All Saints Day services read during this year's services, please be sure to add his or her name to the book, which will be available through this Sunday.

Celebrating our Friends at Christ Church
Father David Somerville 
October 25 marks the 50th
anniversary of The Rev. David Somerville's ordination into the Episcopal ministry. Father David, who serves as an Assisting Clergy member at Christ Church, was ordained in 1969, at Trinity Cathedral, in Trenton, New Jersey. From there, he began seven years of service in parish ministry in the Diocese of New Jersey, before joining the armed forces as an Army chaplain. After his career in the Army, which included posts in Kuwait and closer to  home, at Ft. Stewart, Georgia, Father David retired and became a canonical resident in the diocese of Georgia in 1996.

Bishop Search - Candidate Walk-About Visit
Join us to meet the candidates for Bishop of Georgia, during their walk-about visit to Christ Church on
Thursday, October 24 at 11:00 am in the Parish House. The candidates are The Rev. Rob Brown, The Rev. Lonnie Lacy, The Rev. Canon Frank Logue, The Venerable Jennifer McKenzie and The Rev. Canon John Thompson-Quartey. The candidates will address all in a group setting, then be available for individual questions and discussion afterwards.
If you are unable to attend this event, other walk-about sessions will take place on Tues., Oct. 22 - 6:00 pm at Good Shepherd, Augusta; Weds. Oct. 23 - 6:00 pm at St. Thomas, Isle of Hope; Thurs. Oct. 24 - 6:00 pm at Christ Church, Valdosta; Fri. Oct. 25 - 6:00 pm at Calvary, Americus.
