OUR EBOOK RECS
Blood, Sweat, and Pixels by Jason Schreier details the dedication, ambition and passion of the gaming industry, as well as the business dealings that at times squander such hard work. Game developers and enthusiasts will be brought along on a journey through the process of developing games and will meet the truly dedicated and often unsung heroes who give their all to create the best games conceivable. This book offered so much insight into a topic that I thought I knew everything about. -Charlie

The Jane Austen Society by Natalie Jenner is a heart touching story set in the 1940s. With Austen’s ties to the village of Chawton threatened, an unlikely group of people come together, united by their admiration for the famed author. Together they work to try to preserve Austen’s legacy in the small village, while also unexpectedly helping one another with their own life struggles. As a fan of Jane Austen and historical fiction, this book was a must read for me. I was captivated by the endearing characters that I met in Jenner’s debut novel and look forward to her future books. -Liz

The Afterward by E.K. Johnston | I love a story that combines fantasy, adventure, romance and realism. Set in the year after a great quest has saved the kingdom, two of the heroes are still trying to find their paths - and get back to each other. This book is feminist and LGBTQIA+ friendly, funny, and smart, while also creating a totally believable fantasy realm. I would love to read more stories set in this world.  -Lorraine
