Discussing the Luxury Kitchen Customer at Dacor Kitchen Theater
|
NKBA Manhattan Chapter members met last month at the
Dacor Kitchen Theater, located in the A&D Building, to delve into conversation around the luxury kitchen client. It is certainly no secret that today's affluent consumer's values and ideals are shifting, and we as design industry professionals must be poised and ready to adapt as needed. Attendees were able to garner insights from a study that
Dacor produced, in conjunction with
Architectural Digest
and
Conde Nast, so as to examine behaviors and trends of the evolving luxury kitchen customer. Complete with beautiful fare, it was certainly an informative evening.

Happy National Kitchen & Bath Month! Connectivity seems to be the word of the month! Our September Chapter meeting at Dacor touched on connectivity while profiling the new breed of luxury client and the CEDIA show displayed many new options for home connectivity while hosting members of the NKBA for Design Connection tours and a certified designer technology summit that I was grateful to participate in as a panel member. The Living In Place Institute was also represented at the show, and the benefits of technology to help us design safe, secure and comfortable homes that preserve the dignity of all was discussed as well.
|
Our Chapter has some new CLIPP graduates, too, as we just had a certification class at the TOTO showroom. I would like to congratulate them and applaud the investment they have made in their careers—
Beth Forer,
Doris Amsterdam Bachmann, virtual clapping and whistles are for you!!
We are planning our chapter meetups at KBIS and would love to include everyone who is going; please reach out to an officer if you plan to attend. As always, I look forward to seeing you at the next meeting!
