The Goshen Weekly, October 21 , 2019

Last week members of the Goshen Fire Company made their annual visit to our school. The children learned about fire safety and prevention, explored the fire truck, and even got to squirt the fire hoses! We also presented the firemen with donations from our October Service Project Snack Drive. Thank you to the firemen for making this fun annual event possible, and thank you to the members of our community who contributed to our service project! See more photos from our firetruck visit by clicking

Message from the Head of School

Dear families,

Welcome back from what I hope was a restful, happy weekend! Just a quick note from me to say that we will conduct fire drills Tuesday and Friday this week. (We may postpone Tuesday's drill to Thursday, if it is raining tomorrow morning.) Teachers will prepare the children so they understand it is just an exercise. With last week's fire safety lessons, and a visit from the Goshen Fire Company, they certainly understand the importance of practice and prevention!

I hope everyone has a wonderful week. Up next ... Halloween!

In Friendship,
Tr. Mimi

Thanks to all who sent in drinks, chips, pretzels, crackers, and all types of goodies for our firefighter friends as part of our October Service Project on behalf of the Goshen Fire Company. The firefighters loved this much-deserved thank you for the amazing work they do in our community. Thanks also to the GFS family who made a generous financial donation and to Tr. Lauren and Tr. Coleen's classes, who made cards for the firemen.
