May 2020
Dear Friends of the Foundation,

We hope you are staying safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. It certainly has created a new normal for all people, businesses, and nonprofits. The White Bear Lake Area Educational Foundation (WBLAEF) is confident we will be able to ride out this crisis with the support of the community.

In order for that to happen, we have made some significant changes during the past several months in an effort to keep all volunteers, staff, and community safe. As you are probably aware, staff are working from home, we made the difficult decision to cancel our annual Golf Tournament that was scheduled for June 22, and we continue to have discussions about how to best conduct other upcoming events and programs. We promise to keep you posted as new developments arise and as decisions are made.

Even though the Golf Tournament was cancelled, the Foundation's programs, grants, and initiatives have not only continued as scheduled, but we are also eagerly looking for ways to support the White Bear Lake Area community during this time of uncertainty. Some of our program outcomes are highlighted below.

It is important that together, we remain focused on our mission to enhance the School District's ability to provide excellence in education for all students. As we secure the needs of today, we need to realign to the needs of tomorrow. Please help us continue our work of providing hope and opportunity. Show the students and families of WBLAS your unconditional support by giving to the pinnacle of what keeps our programs moving -- our unrestricted funds.

We have created an opportunity for all WBLAEF supporters to become Foundation Partners and we encourage you to look at the "benefits" you will receive from your donations. To learn more, click HERE. We hope you will consider making a donation this Spring to help us reach our fiscal year end goal of raising $30,000 by June 30. Thank you in advance for your unwavering support.

If you have any questions about any of our programs or initiatives, please feel free to reach out to me at lori@wblaef.org . I look forward to our continued partnership and seeing you at a future event or program!

Regards,

Lori Arnold
