Preparing for Holy Week
Our Lenten journey is nearing its end – Jerusalem and Holy Week are just over the horizon.

This Sunday we will experience the central mystery of our faith -
  • We will wave our palm branches in celebration as we enter Jerusalem with Jesus.
  • On Maundy Thursday - We will gather at table with him and remember the love given to us in his body and blood.
  • On Good Friday - We will walk the way of the cross and witness his death and burial for our salvation.
  • On Easter Day - We will meet him resurrected from the tomb and know that new life is ours.

I invite you to attend as many of our services as you can. Together they tell the story of what Christ has done for us. Our 10:00 Palm Sunday and Easter services will be livestreamed so you may watch on online if you choose.

Communion in Both Kinds
Beginning this Palm Sunday, we will again offer communion in both kinds (bread and wine). Intinction will be the method of reception. As you approach your server, please extend your open hand. The server will intinct (dip) the bread into the wine and place it on your hand. For now, this is the only approved way to receive communion in both kinds and by diocesan policy you may not self-intinct. You may receive in one kind (bread only) if you prefer, which is a valid and complete form of communion. Signal your server with a gesture or saying, “one kind” if you wish to receive the bread alone.

I hope you will join us as we celebrate the remarkable story of salvation, the wondrous love God grants us in Jesus Christ. Keep walking in the way of the cross to the grave and the resurrection life.

Support the Humanitarian Crisis in Ukraine

Episcopal Relief & Development is mobilizing with Anglican agencies and other partners in order to provide humanitarian assistance to people fleeing the violence in Ukraine.

“Ecumenical and orthodox faith networks are on the ground in the border areas of Poland and Hungary,” said Abagail Nelson, Executive Vice President, Episcopal Relief & Development. “We will continue to coordinate with these networks, in order to meet the needs of people who have been displaced.”

Please pray for all those affected and if you can, click here to donate to Episcopal Relief & Development’s International Disaster Response Fund.

Note - be very careful of scams relating to Ukraine support. Even if it looks as though someone you know has contacted you by email or text message asking directly for money/gift cards etc., DO NOT send anything until you have spoken directly to them on the phone or in person to confirm they are not being impersonated by a scammer.
