Dear Partners,
Change seems to be the rule of the day. Leaves are falling, mornings are cooler, and many of you have begun transitioning and adapting to hybrid instructional models. As you do, we wanted to take a moment to share what we’re learning from across the Partnership.

The quarterly Leadership Team and Partnership Council meetings on October 23 saw their largest rate of participation ever. These teams welcomed Pegah Faed, Executive Director of First 5 Marin, to the Leadership Team, reviewed progress from Action Teams and county-wide Initiatives, and took a deep dive into a panel discussion on scaling Success Networks and taking Anitracist Actions. October Financial Aid Support Goes Virtual - College & Career Partners have been working together, under amazing leadership from 10,000 Degrees (10KD), to adapt their Financial Aid outreach and support services to an on-line environment. Click HERE to learn more about the informational videos 10KD has created and the virtual workshops that have been delivered around the county.
Scaling Success Networks - the data-informed, coordinated support provided to students by the Tam High Success Network is proving to be an essential practice in keeping students connected and engaged during distance learning. Tomales High and Redwood have decided to launch Success Networks and other Districts are exploring them as well. Click HERE to learn more.
¡Leyendo Juntos-Virtually! (Virtual Literacy Pods) - San Pedro, Parent Services Project and Dominican University are working together to provide small group and 1:1 virtual reading pods for 1st graders at San Pedro and 2nd graders at Loma Verde. Family literacy engagement is also being encouraged through the “Cuddle with a Book” program, LitLab, and EPIC book online resources. Stay tuned for more detailed update next month.

Learning Hubs provide a safe space, adult supervision and broadband internet access so that students can successfully engage with their Distance Learning classes. Partners have come together to start, fund and operate over 30 Hubs across the county. In coordination with Partners, the County, and the Marin County office of Education, Backbone Team staff are working with Learning Hub organizers to track and share student data. Using this information, Partners can ensure equitable access to Learning Hub services, respond to community and student needs, coordinate with schools, and advocate for additional resources. We have just launched a new Learning Hub webpage to share data on an interactive Map. Take a look and help us improve the data with any new or updated information you have.
