Very important- Due to the weather this past week, high school meets being held at our pools got rescheduled and will affect our schedule. I have made note of the changes below, and have included the rest of the January adjustments for your convenience.

Mon. 1/13 - Joint Practice @ GAC
  • Novice & Advanced 6pm-7:30pm
  • Swimmers from Southern are highly encouraged to join us at the GAC!
  • There is a parent meeting that all should attend!

**CHANGE** Tue. 1/14 - Practice ONLY being held at Southern
  • There will be no practice at the GAC due to a rescheduled high school swim meet from 1/7 being held at the GAC.
  • Southern and GAC swimmers will practice at Southern.
  • Novice practice runs 5:30-6:30 p.m. (dryland at 5:15 p.m.)
  • Advanced practice runs 6:30-8 p.m. (dryland at 6:15 p.m.)

Thu. 1/16 - Practice ONLY being held at Southern
  • There will be no practice at the GAC due to a high school swim meet being held at the GAC.
  • Southern and GAC swimmers will practice at Southern.
  • Novice practice runs 5:30-6:30 p.m. (dryland at 5:15 p.m.)
  • Advanced practice runs 6:30-8 p.m. (dryland at 6:15 p.m.)

**CHANGE** Mon. 1/20 - Practice ONLY being held at the GAC (NO joint practice)
  • Due to the HS meet on 1/7 at Southern being rescheduled to this night, we will not hold out usual joint practice at Southern. Instead, we will have normal practices at the GAC.
  • Novice 5:45-6:45, Advanced 6:45-8

Thu. 1/23- NO PRACTICE
  • Due to high school meets being held at both the GAC and Southern, Novice and Advanced from both locations will be off.

Thu. 1/30 - Practice ONLY being held at the GAC
  • There will be no practice at Southern due to a high school meet being held there.
  • Southern and GAC swimmers practice at the GAC.
  • Novice practice runs 5:45-6:45 p.m.
  • Advanced practice runs 6:45-8 p.m.

Looking ahead - Meet on 2/9 at GSVY (Sunbury). Info to come. Last chance to get in a meet before YSCAP Championships. Please notify the coaches as early as possible if your child can't attend.


The Southern YMCA is located at 100 Constitution Ave., Shrewsbury. The Graham Aquatic Center is located at 543 N. Newberry Street, York.
