2022 Ladysmith Chamber Membership Renewal Update
It has been a busy start to the year for the Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce. We are actively working on our Shop Local program as well as making plans for an exciting 2022 as evidenced in the recent Newsletter and below.

You may have noticed a delay in your membership renewals, but we assure you that they will be to you within the next week. We have been working on a new membership renewal system that offers on line renewals and a point of sale system that reduces the workload of our admin staff.

In addition, our Ladysmith Chamber has had to shorten operating hours this month. This is due to Covid-19 illness and isolation requirements as well as a serious family emergency. We are planning to resume regular office hours in the next few days.

Thank you to our members for your patience and understanding and we assure you that we are still working behind the scenes to be your Voice of Business to the BC Chamber and Municipal, Regional, Provincial and Federal Governments.
Take the Pandemic Recovery Survey |
Deadline 4pm today
This week, the BC Chamber launched the Pandemic Recovery Survey – the first survey in a quarterly series to help us understand the actual and expected impacts of rapid testing, ‘functional closures’ and the costs associated with the B.C. paid sick leave program on businesses across the province.

They want to hear from YOU - Tell them how these three issues are affecting your business.

Your feedback will inform the advocacy efforts of the BC Chamber of Commerce and its provincial network, and will be shared directly with government. The survey will close January 31 at 4pm PST.

Thank you for your participation!

LOCALS LOVE LADYSMITH!
2022 Shop Local Campaign
Together, the Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce and the Ladysmith Downtown Business Association are continuing to collaborate on the BC Chamber Shop Local initiative.

We are very excited to be launching a "LOCALS LOVE LADYSMITH" campaign and we are looking for businesses that would like to be part of our 2022 campaign, Locals Love Ladysmith.

This campaign will profile a business in town with a photo and a narrative of how they managed to change or continue to grow their business through the pandemic and how they will need support of local residents to help their business thrive through 2022.

Each business will have an ad featured on social media boosted to our surrounding communities for maximum exposure.

We would like to come in and do a quick photoshoot and interview. You may choose to be on camera, but if you would prefer not to be we will grab other photos of your choice of your business.

Please respond to this email or and let us know if you would like to be a part of this wonderful campaign, and we can sort a time to meet.

The response has been fantastic so far with 20+ of the 34 spots filled!!!
