The Changing of the Hats:
Next Steps on the Journey of Publishing a New Book
I'm sharing a two-minute video with you today because I thought you'd like to see me "in person" and also to show you that an author's "job" is never done.

If you're part of my Super Fans community, I posted this already on our private Facebook group, so I hope you don't mind seeing it again!

If you're NOT a part of my Super Fans community yet, and would LIKE to be, read the paragraph below to see if you can commit to supporting me in this way.

What's a Super Fan? When I have a new book coming out, my Super Fans are responsible for leaving an honest review on Amazon (and GoodReads too, if at all possible) during the week of the book's release. This year, it means that my Super Fans will receive a paperback or ebook Advanced Reading Copy (ARC) of Feathers in the Sand in late May/early June, and will commit to leaving the review(s) the week of July 11. If this interests you and is something you can commit to this summer, please fill out this short questionnaire and I will consider adding you!

Reviews Are Everything to an Author Please consider leaving reviews on Amazon and/or GoodReads for ANY book you read that you particularly enjoy. The success/failure of any book is supported by the number of reviews that are written. My first women's novel, Dragonflies at Night, has 119 reviews which is a big deal for a first novel, and it's mainly due to my fabulous group of SuperFans!

Story That Stirs the Soul

This month I'm giving away THREE paperback copies of The Beach Trees by Karen White.

Karen White's earlier novels are some of my favorites. The story of The Beach Trees is really 2 stories entwined. One is of 30-year-old New Yorker Julie whose best friend has passed away and left her the care of her 5 -year-old son Beau, as well as her family's vacation home, River Song, in Biloxi, Mississippi. Julie sets off for the South to introduce Beau to his family there.

The other story is of the grandmother, Aimee. I won't tell much more, but there is mystery on several levels, and lots of love as well. Karen White writes with much wisdom as she weaves themes of loss, opening hearts and new beginnings. Set entirely in New Orleans and Biloxi, I had a much clearer picture in my mind about exactly how much it took people to rebuild after Hurricane Katrina. Uplifting, inspiring and very, very true.

If you want to enter, just fill out the short form here and I'll do a random drawing THIS SUNDAY MARCH 13. I'll send you an email notice that you've won, and I'll just ask for your snail mail address after that! (NOTE: I use the random generator at random.org to choose the winners so it's all fair and square.)
Greetings! Thank you for reading my author newsletter and for your commitment to reading stories that stir your heart and soul.

Here's a photo of me on our front porch a few weeks ago when the temps hit mid-60's, a highly unusual happening in Massachusetts in February! I'm wearing my favorite light jacket, a silver feather necklace (guess why!!) and if you look closely, you'll see a special message on my t-shirt.

ο»ΏIn between newsletters, I'll be posting more often on Instagram, my blog, and/or my Facebook Author page, so I hope you'll visit me there too.

Enjoy the weather, wherever you are,
