Success Stories
Textbook Travel Training
Our Travel Trainer worked with a consumer on using the Brier Creek Express (70x) bus. She needed to know where the route goes. She lives in Brier Creek and needed to know the route GoRaleigh runs in her area.

She learned that it starts and ends at Crabtree Valley Mall. She also learned how to transfer to other routes at Crabtree. She now has a good sense of how the 70x bus operates and when it arrives/departs in the Brier Creek area.
Learning The Route to Independent Community Living

A consumer has been working with his Travel Trainer on using the GoDurham bus system. He wanted to be comfortable traveling around Durham without relying more on GoDurham Access.

He has learned several routes, including how to get to his job and Brier Creek. He is still interested in learning other routes of the GoDurham system. He also expressed interest in learning how to travel safely at night. He has been able to travel to Brier Creek independently to meet with his father.

Travel Training
ADANC’s Travel Training program has empowered consumers to independently ride a fixed bus route.
