Updated Housing Regulations Now Posted
The Province has posted its updated regulations related to community safety in housing, wait lists and RGI simplification:
  • O.Reg. 318/19 (related to refusal of offers, preferences for housing projects, transfers between housing projects, housing provider refusal to offer a unit based on previous eviction for illegal activity)
  • O.Reg. 316/19 (RGI calculation regulation)
  • O.Reg. 317/19 (Changes to General Regulation related to RGI calculation, etc.)
Earlier this week, Minister Steve Clark made an announcement highlighting the new regulations around community housing evictions and community safety that are now in place. 
Employment Services Transformation CFP Released
The Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities has released its Call for Proposals (PDF) and list of qualified bidders (PDF) for service system management of employment services in prototype regions transitioning to the new approach (Peel, Muskoka-Kawarthas, and Hamilton-Niagara). The Call for Proposals includes more details on the respective roles of the Province, the selected service system managers and CMSMs and DSSABs within the new prototype model.

On Thursday October 17th, 2019 at the Hanlon Convention Centre in Guelph, the Career Education Council will be hosting 1200+ grade 8 students and 40+ exhibitors at our annual Career Pathways interactive career fair. Guelph students will have the opportunity to explore interactive booths showcasing high school, post-secondary, and career opportunities.

Policy Updates
Community, Culture and Recreation Funding
The Province is now accepting funding applications for projects under the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program's (ICIP) Community, Culture and Recreation (CCR) stream. Fund will go funds will go toward renovations, upgrades and new construction for projects that will help deliver vital services for communities, foster greater social inclusion and improve the quality of life for residents.  Learn more and apply by November 12, 2019
