Awake My Soul!
"Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn."
Psalm 57:8
"I Will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples."
Psalm 57:9

Verse 8: "Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn."

David is going to greet the dawn with a song.

Malachi 4:2: "But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings..."(NIV).

Psalm 5:3: "Morning by morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; morning by morning, I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation"(NIV).

Psalm 143:8: "Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul"(NIV).

Mark 1:35: "And in the early morning, while it was still dark, He arose and went out and departed to a lonely place, and was praying there"(NASB).

Verse 9: "I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples."

How crucial and critical it is that the first thing we do in the morning before we start the day is to have our meeting with the Lord in His Word and a time to sing His praises.

Let's conclude our meditation this morning by singing "Because He Lives":
God sent His Son, they called him Jesus;
He came to love, heal, and forgive;
He lived and died to buy my pardon,
An empty grave is there to prove my Savior lives.

And then one day I'll cross the river;
I'll fight life's final war with pain;
And then as death gives way to vict'ry,
I'll see the lights of glory and I'll know He lives.
Refrain
Because He lives I can face tomorrow;
Because He lives all fear is gone;
Because I know He holds the future,
And life is worth the living just because He lives.
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
