A note to our business owners:
For the Piscataquis retailers and restaurants that will be allowed to open within the week, we have to do this right.

The safety of your employees and customers is paramount. We will not be able to re-open further or increase customer counts unless we continue to see progress in combating COVID-19, and that requires us all to make certain the public is protected.

As a side note, please remember you DO NOT have to open on Monday. If you cannot properly staff up or get the necessary precautions in place, or if you feel it's not safe to do so, don't open.

Today is a significant step forward, but we have a long road ahead of us. We must apply safe and responsible protocols that will enable our industry to recover economically and while protecting public health.

More to come with regard to tourism and lodging businesses.... stay tuned.
