On Saturday, October 24th, the St. John Paul II High School Girls' Varsity Soccer Team completed a community service project at Nobska Light. In previous years many members of the team selected projects that supported the elderly in towns on and off Cape Cod. This type of service was not an option due to Covid-19 safety measures at senior centers.  So instead, the team asked to help beautify Nobska's site while taking advantage of the outdoor space and the ability to be socially distant. Over the course of four hours, the team cleaned up trash, repaired part of the fence, put on a top coat of white paint to areas of the fence they could access, cleaned up the walkway, and trimmed overgrowth along the road. WHEW! The Friends of Nobska Light is grateful to this wonderful team. Thank you!
