Our new Priest-in-Charge in the news!
Our new Priest-in-Charge, The Rev. Andrew Kryzak, celebrated his first services at St. John's on Ash Wednesday. Click here to view the Stamford Advocate article that captured this moment in our parish with some great photos from the 12pm service.
Help for the Ukranians
Christians all over the world have been shocked by the events unfolding in Ukraine. Working through the Action by Churches Together Alliance (ACT Alliance), Episcopal Relief & Development will provide cash, blankets, hygiene supplies, and other needed assistance to Ukranian refugees. If you feel moved to contribute to these humanitarian relief efforts, please do make a contribution through ERD's own website.
Outreach Committee Sock Drive
Continuing this Sunday - March 6
Warm Feet! Warm Hearts!
Please bring new packaged socks for men, women and children to church this Sunday, March 6! There will be two boxes for collection in the main entrance in the hallway outside the library.

The outreach committee will distribute these to local area shelters to assist persons experiencing homelessness
Women's Group Monthly Meeting
March 1o, 2022 - 7PM
The Women's Group will be having their monthly meeting on March 10th at 7 PM via zoom. We welcome all the ladies to come and listen or participate in our discussion.

This month we are celebrating women in the priesthood, especially those in Connecticut, who made a difference in our lives.

Here at St. John's we will be displaying six women priests known for having broken barriers in the Episcopal Church.

Please stop by Baronial Hall to see the display and learn more about them.

Blessings

Help Wanted- Volunteers for Altar Guild
"We do not presume to come to your table, merciful Lord, trusting in our own goodness, but in your all-embracing love and mercy. We are not worthy even to gather up the crumbs under your table, but it is your nature always to have mercy. So feed us with the body and blood of Jesus Christ, your Son, that we may forever live in him and he in us. Amen."

These words from the BCP acknowledge our inadequacies in front of God and at the same time strengthen us to do anything in his name. As St. John's prepares for a new season with the arrival of our Priest-in-charge, we ask that you think about what many believe is the most important aspect of why we come together every Sunday - Communion - and heed the call to volunteer to help serve at God's table.

Please reach out to our Senior Warden Ron Bacchi or any other member of the Vestry if you are interested in volunteering to serve on our Altar Guild.
