Cybersecurity Skills Journal (CSJ)
Have an idea, thought, or experience you want to share regarding workforce capabilities as they relate to the National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Cybersecurity Workforce Framework? The Cybersecurity Skills Journal (CSJ): Practice and Research is accepting abstracts. Submit your proposed manuscripts, and CSJ will help publish them. There will be two workshops on April 15 and April 17. Interested attendees need only attend one of the sessions. Members of the Editorial Board will discuss the CSJ's unique constructive process and attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions.

Call for Proposals Extended!
Share your cybersecurity expertise and experience with others! The 2020 Community College Cyber Summit (3CS) is looking for proposals for breakout sessions for its upcoming event Aug. 4-6 at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio. Entries can vary in length from half day, one day to one-, two- or three-hours and should fit into one of five tracks: Evidence-Based, Instruction, Practice, Program Development and Student. Proposals are due April 5.

Raise the BAR Mastery Badge Program
The National Cybersecurity Student Association is holding its next webcast “ Raise the BAR Mastery Badge Program: A formative credentialing of cybersecurity capability maturity ” on Thursday, March 26, 8 p.m. ET. Presenter Dr. David Tobey will announce, and make available for NCSA member access, the release of the 2nd set of formative credentialing assessments that are part of the Raise the BAR Mastery Badge Program.

Dragos 2019 Year in Review
Security company, Drago, released its 2019 Year in Review reports to provide insights into lessons learned from its experiences hunting and responding to industrial control system (ICS) adversaries to help defend other industrial organizations. Its three reports cover vulnerabilities, threat activity groups, and lessons learned from the front lines.

U.S. Cyberspace Solarium Commission
The Cyberspace Solarium Commission (CSC) was established in the John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019 to "develop a consensus on a strategic approach to defending the United States in cyberspace against cyber attacks of significant consequences." A finished report was presented to the public on March 11, 2020. The Report proposes a strategy of layered cyber deterrence, with over 80 recommendations to implement the strategy.

NSA's 8th Annual Paper Competition
Support the National Security Agency’s (NSA) 8th Annual Best Scientific Cybersecurity Paper Competition by nominating the paper that did the most for the science of cybersecurity. The idea behind the competition is to encourage soundly-based research into all aspects of cybersecurity by recognizing recent work judged outstanding in this respect by Distinguished Experts and selected by NSA’s Director of Research. The winning paper is recognized by NSA for its achievements and the authors are invited to NSA to present the winning research. Papers eligible for the award are peer-reviewed papers published in 2019 and were not self-nominated. Self-nomination entails papers nominated by an author or co-author. Nominations close on April 15, 2020.

National CyberWatch Center member, Lord Fairfax Community College, has a job opening for a full-time cybersecurity faculty position. Applicants should have a Master’s degree in the cybersecurity field or a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the field, experience teaching or working in the cybersecurity field, experience in performing cybersecurity related activities and experience in assessments, design, and manipulating different architectures.

National CyberWatch Center member, Howard Community College, has a job opening for a full-time Cisco Networking and Cybersecurity instructor. Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree with at least five years of college-level experience teaching in Cisco Networking. Knowledge in AWS, Azure, Linux, Cisco routing and switching, firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, penetration testing and vulnerability assessment is also required.

National CyberWatch Center member, Harford Community College, has an opening for a full-time, non-tenure track cybersecurity and information assurance faculty position to start this August. Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information systems security, information assurance or a related field, and experience teaching related courses. They also need relevant industry certifications. Applications are due March 22.
