Message from Joe Mintz, Chapter Chairperson
Partner: Blank Rome LLP

Happy New Year!

It was a privilege to lead our Chapter over the past year. We accomplished a lot in 2019 and our dedicated members, fantastic Board and amazing Chapter Executive, Andrea Pauson made it all possible. We hosted several great events this past year, including our Delaware Education programs, featuring a fireside chat with Delaware Bankruptcy Judges and a great panel with several prominent practitioners. We raised thousands of dollars for CBAP and CASA of Delaware County at our Summer Charity Classic. We had a great time in Atlantic City at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Symposium. We represented our Chapter at Global Atlantic City at the Mid-Atlantic Regional Symposium. We represented our Chapter at Global conferences, out-registering all other "large" sized chapters at this year's TMA Annual.

I want to thank departing board members Mitchell Arden (Phoenix Management Services), Bradford Sandler (Pachulski Stang Ziel & Jones LLP), Gary Scharmett (Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young LLP), Daniel Stella (Bank of America Merrill Lynch), Steven Kortanek (XClaim Inc.), Nina Fairchild (Citibank), and Jennifer Kirwin Koester (Ricoh) for generously sharing their time, energy and ideas to help guide our Chapter over many years. Special thanks to Chairperson Ed Phillips (Getzler Henrich & Associates LLC) for his support and leadership this past year.

The following individuals will replace the departing Board members and begin new three year terms effective as of January 1, 2020. Michael Gaul (Phoenix Management Services), Colin Robinson (Pachulski Stang Ziel & Jones LLP), Christine Friday (Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young LLP), Melissa Martinez (Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr LLP), John Schanne II (Pepper Hamilton LLP), Daniel McGonagle (Wells Fargo Capital Finance), and J.W. Clements (Clements Capital LLC). Please join me in congratulating this distinguished group and welcoming them to our Board.

I am pleased to announce the slate of Chapter leaders for 2020. Taking over for me this year is Mark Felger (Cozen O'Connor), who served the chapter as President-Elect in 2019. Mark did a terrific job planning our Delaware events for many years and is a former At-large member of our Executive Board as well as past Co-Chair of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Symposium, It has been a pleasure to work with Mark and I am confident he will do a terrific job leading the chapter in 2020. Mark will be joined by the following slate of leaders who will help our great Chapter continue to grow and thrive for years to come.
