Thanks to everyone who has sent in wacky hair day pictures. I am loving them! Ella's donut one above makes me so hungry! You can see more on my Facebook page. The contest lasts until June 7, so there's still time to join in! Winners will be randomly selected. You can send them to me with permission to share here.

Congratulations to Rose and Elise for being first and second in the The Haunted Ship Writing Contest! It was so hard to choose, but these young ladies definitely were very creative with a ship full of spiders and a ghost named T-shirt. Their prizes are on the way now!

Why, oh why am I doing these contests? I wanted to let you know about my upcoming book, Sleepover at the Haunted Museum. Pearl arranges for some makeup and hair- do fun that doesn't work out so well (that's the reason for the Wacky Hair Day Contest). Pearl also brings a cake that scares everyone silly (that's the reason for the silly cake contest). Shelly's sleepover turns scary when strange lights appear (that was the reason for the Haunted Ship writing contest). Besides, I just like giving away prizes, so I'll give away a hardcover copy of my upcoming book to the first one who contacts me here.

There's still a bit of time if you want to do some silly baking with your child or students. The nice thing about being only from photographs is that it doesn't have to be edible! Some entries have been drawings of cakes and those are awesome too! And of course, there will be a prize! The contest ends on May 30th.
Post a picture of your silly cake on my author Facebook, Twitter, or send them via email. I will post the winner on my website, Facebook, and Twitter so do not include your child's image if you don't wish them to be posted.

Coming June 15th.
You can pre-order here.
My first graphic novel is available for pre-order now.
Also, part of FREE COMIC BOOK DAY!

If you have any spare prayers, I'd appreciate some.
It is coming up on a year since my youngest son died. I still can't believe it.
