Dr. Cooley, just months before his death, was instrumental in helping Kralj get approval from the University to have the bust moved from the Erwin Center to Warren Residence Hall, now its permanent home. A bust of Dr. Cooley also resides in the Great Room.
Erwin was first honored as the Tau Man of the Year in 1965 and Cooley was honored the following year in 1966. These men, through their accomplishments, leadership, and lifelong commitment to their Tau brothers, helped make Kappa Sigma one of the most prestigious fraternities at the University of Texas, and it remains so today.
Fortunately, even as their namesake buildings are razed, there are still other buildings on campus named for Tau initiates, including Beauford Jester, Harry Ransom, and T.U. Taylor.
