Hello!
First, we hope everyone is well. This spring has been nothing like we expected and we know everyone has been adjusting to new routines and expectations. We have received emails and calls from many customers wishing us well and each sentiment is greatly appreciated. While we cannot do wine tastings or on-site consumption of wine, the winery is open for wine to-go and we are offering an
in-state delivery option.
Work at the winery has continued as we have been busy preparing Blueberry and Catawba wines for bottling. Receiving bottles was delayed due to the backup in the supply chain, which shifted our bottling date later, but the good news is the bottles are on site and we will soon be getting to work! Our newest wine made from
Smithsburg grown peaches has been well received. We purchased white, yellow, and donut peaches from 78 Acres Farm and hand-pitted over 3 tons of them in July. We have about a dozen cases remaining.
If you're looking for a Mother's Day carry-out option you should grab tickets for this
Sunday's Mother's Day Brunch featuring 28 South. Chef Jay has prepared an option of Crab Benedict, Black Forest Ham Benedict, Avocado Toast, or Breakfast Platter with Sausage Gravy along with berry and granola parfait, duck fat fried potatoes, and bacon. Each ticket includes a 16 ounce mimosa. (Call the winery for special requests for food allergies or order food only for underage diners.) Food and wine pick up is between 10:30-12:30.

P.S. May is a Wine Club pickup month. Visit us at your convenience to pick up your bottles or schedule home delivery if you are in Maryland.
Hours: Friday 2-7pm, Saturday 12-5, and Sunday 12-5.
