DRIVE-THRU COVID-19 TESTING
The Town is offering free drive-thru COVID-19 to all Swampscott residents at the First Congregational Church on Monument Ave. on Wednesdays from 2:30-6:30pm and Saturdays from 8:00am-12:00pm.
GET OUT AND VOTE!
The State Election is November 3! Learn everything you need to know about how to register to vote, request a Early Voting Ballot, or vote in person!
Keep your home safe by clearing it of any unwanted prescription drugs. The Swampscott Police Dept. will be hosting a "Drug Take-Back" day on Saturday, October 24 at the Police HQ at 531 Humphrey St. [LEARN MORE]
Need a book? Reserve your books online and stop by the Swampscott Public Library for safe pick-up right at the window. And don't miss the library's many virtual programs for all ages! [LEARN MORE]
The Senior Center has produced a series of "Get Active" exercise videos to keep seniors moving during the isolating time of COVID. Videos are aired on Cable TV as well as online here.

The Swampscott Senior Center and Swampscott for All Ages have been hard at work producing Cable Channel Programming for the senior community. With their Stay Connected Series, SFAA provides Seniors with cultural and educational programming to help enhance and improve their lives.

PUMPKIN DECORATING CONTEST
All October
Swampscott Recreation invites you to enter your decorated, painted, or carved Halloween pumpkin into the Pumpkin Decorating Contest. Best Adult and Best Child winners will be announced on October 30. [LEARN MORE]
SWAMPSCOTT MINI GOLF
October 24, 11am-4pm
Pick up a putter and do a round on Swampscott Recreation's new mini-golf course on the Town Hall Lawn on Saturday, October 24. [LEARN MORE]
COMPLETED PROJECTS
DPW paved on Millet Rd., Crest Rd., Oak Rd., Millett Lane, and Manson St. and New sidewalk granite curb on Shelton and Beverly Roads. This was done as part of a program in which residents can purchase curbing and DPW installs.
UPCOMING PROJECTS
Here are some DPW projects underway or coming down the road:

  • Decorative lights will be installed at the Burrill Street Bridge which will turn the bridge into a captivating art installation that will light the way for pedestrians.

  • The Preston Beach entrance pavers will be installed.

  • Repairs to the Kings Beach Seawall will commence as part of an extensive restoration project.

  • Granite curb will be installed at the Hawthorne/Estabrook landscape island
Swampscott's Boards and Committees are seeking new members to help lead innovative projects and programs in Swampscott.

The Town of Swampscott and CBA Landscape Architects LLC invite you to help redesign Johnson Park! This online survey is Stage 2 of our design process. Fill out the survey HERE.
DON'T THROW IT AWAY - COMPOST!

Did you know that 22% of municipal trash is made up of food waste? Don't throw it away! The Town is now offering free composting at two stations in Town. Simply register to receive a code and drop off your compost. For more information about the free compost stations and other ways to compost, click HERE.
