NCEA Report
Please update your NCEA report in Power School. Thank you to those schools who have completed this task. Please try to reduce the number of "unknowns" for students and staff. Also, the staff numbers need to match in each section. Often we see the total under full time and part time not matching the total number of teachers in the other sections. Email Lisa Gruber when you have updated your report. Thank you!
December 10 Administrator Meeting
Originally we had planned to invite pastors to the meeting on December 10. However, due to the timing, we are going to hold off inviting pastors. The meeting will be just for principals. An agenda and registration link will be provided in the October 25 update.
Silver Lake College now Holy Family College
Recently, Silver Lake College changed its name to Holy Family College. The change was to return the school to its foundation of leading with faith and helping potential students understand the Catholic identity of the college. The school currently is giving schools in our Diocese the opportunity to become a Premier Partner Organization. The benefits include a 40% tuition discount for Partner School employees and their spouses with the first 3 credits tuition free. In addition the Partner School can receive a 10% discount on space reservations for events. The Partner School will be responsible for notifying their employees of the tuition discount, allowing a representative of Holy Family College to provide a yearly informational session at the Partner School and verify employment of employees attending Holy Family College. For more information, please contact Dr. Robert Callahan at 920-686-6238 or robert.callahan@holyfamilycollege.edu.

The Official Catholic Directory, 2020 Edition
Within the last week, your parish or school has received an email from the publishers of the Official Catholic Directory (OCD) requesting that you update your parish and/or school listing. To ensure that your listing in the directory is current and accurate, would you kindly access the portal and update the information? This year the publishers have added a video tutorial to familiarize you with the process. There is also a helpdesk phone number to call if you have any questions or technical issues. The number is toll-free at 844-592-4197 option 3 or ocdedits@nrpdirect.com.

Here is the main information from the original email you should have received:

Online updating starts October 1, 2019 - Please visit ocdedits.com/login on or after October 1, 2019 to review and update your organization's information. Can’t remember your password? There is a password reset button which will send a link to your email so you can change your password.
Why is it important to review and update? The Official Catholic Directory is the best way for donors and granting bodies to verify your entity's inclusion in the IRS/USCCB's Group Ruling Exemption.

Online updating is FREE.
• The Deadline for completing your updates and submitting your information is November 4, 2019 .
Civics Games
A state civics competition is being held to foster citizenship education among young people. It would be great to have many of our schools enter this competition to demonstrate to our state our students’ strong civic virtues.

Winners of the games each receive a $2000 scholarship to the Wisconsin college or university of his/her choice.

Deadlines: Schools have from Sept. 15 to Nov. 5 to register a team . Schools conduct their own competition in February or March and send their winning team to regional competitions at UW campuses across the state April 24. Finals will be held at the state Capitol in Madison on May 15.
