We extend a warm HBIC welcome to Pastor Hannah Niesley and her husband, Luke, as she begins serving in ministry as our Pastor of Worship and Communication. Pastor Hannah's first day is Monday, November 9th, and we will be celebrating her installation in our worship services on Sunday, November 15. Join us in welcoming Pastor Hannah to our church!

Pastor Patty and some of our children's ministry volunteers are looking forward to hanging out with your children on Zoom, Monday afternoons at 4 pm, catching up with one another, playing some games, and praying together. The Sider Institute for Anabaptist, Pietist, and Wesleyan Studies at Messiah University will be holding its annual fall study conference on Thursday, November 12th and Friday, November 13th, virtually on Zoom.

This year's conference theme is Refocusing Our Faith: Re-Examining Brethren In Christ Core Values After 20 Years. The conference will seek to reflect on the Brethren in Christ Core Values and to assess how these core convictions can inspire effective ministry and move us to action, in the present and future.

The Prayer Ministry Team would like to invite the church to join in another time of 24 hours of prayer, from 8 pm on Nov. 13 until 8 pm on Nov. 14.  

We would love to see someone sign up for every hour during that time, although there will be three time slots for each hour, for you to pray wherever you are. Click the button below to sign up for one of the time slots!

Time to give some TLC to our church property! On Saturday November 14th from 9am-12pm our youth will be working on various weeding projects around the church property. Snacks and a lunch will be provided! Contact Pastor Brie with any questions.

Beginning on Sunday afternoon, each week the opening page of our church's website, HBIC.church, has the registration links for both the upcoming 9 am and the 11 am services! Please be sure to register (by Saturday at the latest) in order to help the staff to prepare the check-in list, etc.

On November 15th, we plan to hold services inside our building. Pre-registering for the services is required. We will be closing the registration link for any service that reaches 80 registrants. We'll be sending out more information in the coming week about Sunday services inside our sanctuary and what you can expect - watch for an email during the week!

Friday night November 20th, the young adults will be doing an Escape Room tentatively at Harrisburg's ABC East Lanes. Look for an email from Pastor Brie with more details - contact Pastor Brie if you don't get the email.

Our annual Thanksgiving outreach event will take place on Saturday, November 21. Volunteers will be needed for that day, as well as throughout the week for set-up. Contact Pastor Carmen to schedule a time to volunteer to help!

Saturday November 21st from 6:30-9:30pm we will be having an all youth trivia and video game night in the church's open area! More details to come. Contact Pastor Brie with any questions.

Our annual Community Christmas event will be held on Saturday, December 19th. In preparation, we are holding a Toy Drive from now through Sunday, December 13th. Feel free to drop off donations in the lobby on Sunday mornings or in the church office, Tuesdays through Fridays, 9 am to 3 pm. Both toys or gift cards would be welcome. Save the date, and plan to join us for our Pre-Council Meeting on Wednesday evening, December 2, beginning at 6:45 pm for an initial discussion together about the 2021 HBIC Budget.

This year's meeting will be held virtually on Zoom. Watch for the link and the preliminary budget draft the week before.

Kenbrook Bible Camp is offering a Take & Heat Meal (Chicken Parm, etc.) to feed up to 4 people ($25). The meal will be available for pick-up on Friday, November 13; orders must be placed by 5 pm on Tuesday, November 10!
