If you get No as an answer,

remember:

N.O. means "Next Opportunity"

< Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam>
This morning's quote reminds me of something we are always telling new sales people when we are talking about rejection. One of the most debilitating fears in sales and in life is the "fear of rejection": I can't sell, my technique must be wrong, no one likes me, my product is bad and on and on it goes. Getting people to quit taking it personally and realizing it is a part of life can be difficult.

All of us do a lot of selling in life, whether it is in actual sales or an idea or belief we want to get across. Even in dating, for those younger folks, it is a form of selling, selling ourselves. "These things take time." comes to mind as many times an initial NO, when the concept is pondered and repeated often enough become a YES, particularly with a new and perceived, radical proposal or idea. The NO becomes smaller and smaller until it becomes MAYBE, finally, turning into a YES.

The next opportunity in sales may be the next customer. The next idea in idea acceptance may be a different approach, different time, or breaking it down into manageable, better known as, bite size chunks.

Don't let the Nos of life get you down. Learn from them, understand them, make necessary adjustments and press on toward success.
