Order your Cathedral Yard Sign Today!
Our signs are already in some homes in Hartford and West Hartford!
Since you are not able to visit 45 Church Street, our Cathedral could visit you in some ways! We have made a replica of our fence sign and are making it available to those who would like to share God’s love with your neighborhood.
The sign, portraying our Presiding Bishop and noting our Cathedral ‘s website shares a well-known message from Bishop Curry “ Love is the Way” . In a time when we are facing two pandemics, Covid-19 and Racism, love is the only way forward.
Would you like a sign? Canon Jorge and I are ready to drop it off, place it in your front yard and wave hello to you and yours! Please email me at lina.howell@cccathedral.org or call at 860-305-7604. We are asking for a good will donation of $ 17.00 per sign to cover its cost. Please mail your checks payable to Christ Church Cathedral or donate online visiting our website at www.cccathedral.org

A MESSAGE FROM OUR MUSIC DEPARTMENT
Our musicians have been hard at work creating virtual music for our Sunday worship services. Singing and playing together on our music videos, it almost feels like we are back in the Cathedral building!
Please, considering wearing headphones while listening to our CCC music offerings, particularly those involving singers and guest musicians. Their remarkable efforts are much better experienced this way. Thank you!

The CCC Gospel Choir needs YOU!
We'd like to start up a gospel choir at CCC and all are welcome.
If you would like to take part, please email directorofmusic@cccathedral.org. Also, if you have a favorite tune you'd like the CCC Gospel Choir to sing, send an email! We will make a great noise when we all are together for worship again, and, if technology allows, we hope to present something virtually sometime in May.

October 11, 2020
Church Street Eats prepared and fed 64 guests through the red door in the alley. Grace Gunning and Elise Suckochi were our volunteers who came down to prep the lunches. This week each lunch included 2 sandwiches, cup of potato & corn chowder, fresh fruit and a juice. We had disposable masks and hand sanitizer available for those who needed it.

CHURCH BY THE POND
By Nancy Jacobs, Lay Coordinator
|
|
October 10, 2020
We were blessed with another beautiful day at Church By The Pond. Twenty of us gathered at 2:00 in Bushnell Park to share prayers and to praise God. Rev. Taylor Albright led us in prayers, psalms and readings. Today's Gospel reading spoke of the parable Jesus shared of the king's wedding guests. Father Taylor reminded us that we will be called to the Kingdom of God. But like the wedding guests, we must respond and answer that call.
Trinity Episcopal Church, Tariffville provided lunches that were shared with 34 guests. It was a lovely day of prayer and conversation.

Christ Church Cathedral serves the entire Episcopal Church in Connecticut community for the good of the whole, and is the seat of the bishops. It is "our cathedral." Our Cathedral hosts four congregations in one worshiping community. It's not a parish, as its role is unique in the diocese (see 2015 task force report & resolution). In this its centennial year, Cathedral leaders and Centennial Committee members wish to remind all Episcopalians in CT that by virtue of their membership in a parish, they are members of our Cathedral. All are welcome at any time, and in particular, invited to these events .
