Our finance team is keeping a close eye on things
and working on a variety of projections for our income as we enter a period of uncertainty. The one thing we can’t know is how all of this is affecting your ability to support the congregation. Please know how all of you are in our prayers as you help your kids do school, you do work and we worship in different ways. We know that at least some of you are on furlough or working reduced hours, while others are busier than ever. If you are able to keep up your current giving, please do so. Over the next few weeks, we will share greetings from our council on how they’re navigating their work and their giving in these days. Up next, Joel Dawson.
"My family and I have been trying to take the quarantine one day at a time (Telling which day is which is a different story). I have been working in the shop everyday, as I work in manufacturing and we have had a push to produce some critical goods. Unfortunately, this leaves my wife, who works from home, alone with two kids who are SUPPOSED TO BE online learning. This time has felt rushed and overly busy for us as we navigate working our full time jobs and trying to fill in for full time teachers. We have become more crafty: sewing ripped clothes, baking more, and even giving ourselves haircuts (we are coming out of quarantine in style!). My first haircut I gave to myself, and it ended in hysterical laughter from my wife.
We are tuning into church services while making breakfast on Sundays and continue our giving via electronic withdrawal. It is nice to be able to show up to church in pajamas, but I look forward to seeing everyone in person again!"
