Highlights From September 2019
JazakumAllahu Khairan for sharing this special milestone event with us. We were grateful to see many of our founders, past presidents, current leaders and you! Alhamdulillah, we've come a long way from the four families who gathered in a tiny apartment to worship God, share meals, and build community. However, more work needs to be done. We are working hard to develop Houston's first Muslim cemetery, make our mosques more secure, ensure we maintain our masajid well, and care for those in need.
This important work is supported by generous donors like you. Help us by giving a recurring donation.
The Prophet
ﷺ
said, “The most beloved of deeds to Allah are those that are most consistent, even if it is small” ~Bukhari

If you didn't have an opportunity to attend the gala, you can still support our work and your generosity is appreciated.

WELCOME INITIATIVE
Training by TAIBA
We've received wonderful feedback about this initiative which aims to enhance the Jum'uah experience through community building and connection.
ISGH has partnered with TAIBA to bring this training to our community.
TAIBA will train ISGH staff, elected officials and volunteers on the best practices of building fellowship with community members.
Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw) said, "A Muslim has six rights over another Muslim regarding good conduct: to greet him with peace when he meets him, to respond to his invitation, to respond to his sneeze, to visit him when he is sick, to follow his funeral prayer when he dies, and to love for him what he loves for himself." ~Tirmidhi
We invite you to join any one of our training opportunities as a way to spread goodness in our masajid.

I was able to pay attention for 3 hours without losing interest."
~A brother from Champions Islamic Center
"It was a wonderful program and increased my knowledge. I'm definitely writing my will." ~Teacher at Wunsche High School
"Alhamduilllah, it was very good. I'm just now updating my existing will and this answered the very important questions I had." Roger Yelton
"I needed to hear about how to make sure my family is protected. And as a convert I need to tell my family what to do with my body." ~A sister from Champions Islamic Center
"It's a great program that is needed for the community." ~Imam Daniel Hernandez

You'll be hearing more from our khateebs and leaders this month on bringing awareness to the issue and ways we can collectively prevent domestic violence in our communities.
