Anchorage Yule Log Lighting & Carol Sing
The Anchorage Garden Club is sponsoring the Yule Log Lighting and Carol Sing at Hobbs Chapel , Sunday, December 8 at 6pm with the snow/rain date Monday, December 9 at 6pm.

Be sure to bring candles and guards. Be a part of a longstanding Anchorage tradition and join us for an old-fashioned, good time!

Thank you to everyone that donated coats to this years coat collection.

Your continued support of this very worthy effort made this year a record setter, with St. Luke's donating 123 coats.

When we pulled up to the downtown distribution location there were a half dozen men waiting to receive a coat.

The Brotherhood of St Andrew

On Wednesday's at 6pm

We celebrate a Eucharist that honors our worship heritage, while offering fresh prayers and perspectives and rhythms that are very distinct from our usual weekly worship.

If you enjoy exploring new ways of connecting with God in worship, this service is for you.  If you'd like to experiment with something different, just to see how it feels, this Wednesday 6:00pm Eucharist is for you.

It's also a wonderful way to honor the Sabbath when you've been traveling and/or working on the weekends.

So I encourage you to try this out and give us your thoughts about what it's like for you.  - Fr. Michael

St. Luke's Book Club
The December selection is, Heirs of the Founders, The Epic Rivalry of Henry Clay, John Calhoun, and Daniel Webster , elucidated by noted historian, H. W. Brand, is the story of how in 19th century America, these political giants battled to decide the future of our democracy.

Christmas Decorations
The WREATH hanging will be on Saturday, December 21 at 10:00am and the decorating of the POINSETTIAS will be on Sunday, December 22 after the 10:00am service.

Please plan to help out with one or both days if you possibly can.

Save the date: The Christmas decorations will be taken down on Sunday, January 5, 2019, after the 10am service. Remember, many hands makes quick work, and more fun!   Thank you!!
