November 18 - In 1976, Spain's parliament approved a bill to establish a democracy after 37 years of dictatorship.

November 19 - In 1863, President Lincoln delivered the Gettysburg Address as he dedicated a national cemetery at the site of the Civil War battlefield in Pennsylvania.
 
November 20 - In 1985, Microsoft Windows 1.0 was released.
 
November 21 - In 1922, Rebecca Latimer Felton of Georgia took the oath of office, becoming the first female United States Senator.
 
November 22 - In 1963, President Kennedy was assassinated while riding in a motorcade in Dallas, Texas. A suspect, Lee Harvey Oswald, was arrested. Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson became the 36th president of the United States.
 
November 23 - In 1890, King Willem III of the Netherlands died without a male heir and a special law was passed to allow his daughter, Princess Wilhelmina, to succeed him.
