Parliament is yet to ratify Australia's free-trade deal with Indonesia, six months after it was signed, and key crossbench senators have raised concerns about elements of the agreement.

TasteBook™/OliveCare® sensory training workshops, so if you missed out on the first round of SA and NSW events, here’s your opportunity to secure your spot. And if you attended one of the earlier events, you may wish to build on that sensory learning via training with a new range of tasting oils.

The workshops offer the opportunity to learn from industry experts and sensory scientists. Feedback to date has been outstandingly positive, with attendees gaining invaluable insight into the evaluation process, varietal nuances and EVOO quality parameters.
The program includes sensory training, olive oil chemistry, freshness testing of EVOO and determining objective best before dates (BBDs) and more, providing an interactive learning experience which will benefit olive growers and processors, olive oil judges and anyone wishing to gain a better appreciation for EVOO and table olives.
The cost is just $40 for levy payers, $50 non-levy payers, including catering and comprehensive course notes.

Webinar: Managing salinity in vegetable crops

Salinity issues can appear in all major agricultural production areas. They can come and go depending on weather and changes in water quality, occur naturally or as a result of management practices. Join an interactive lunchtime session and hear from industry experts on good salinity management practices on farm, salinity thresholds for vegetables, how salinity can be identified and measured, as well as appropriate EC ranges for soils and water.

There’s been an amendment to the schedule of new Olives NZ Focus Grove Field Days, with a change to the day of the Wairarapa event.
Details are now as follows:
