ANIMAL WASTE APPLICATORS GIVEN EXTENSION FOR 2020 HOURS
A worker scratches a pig in a hog barn.
This message applies to Animal Waste Applicators whose license renews in 2020.

Due to recent events, the Operators Certification Commission ruled on August 14, 2020 to extend the enforcement deadline for completing six (6) hours of Continuing Education Training for 2020 until December 31, 2021. The message from the Operators Certification Commission is below.

Essentially, this means you will have until the end of next year to complete the training required to renew your license if it was set to renew at the end of 2020. However, my understanding is that you will still have to pay your annual $10 licensing fee in January 2021 as normal.

There will still be opportunities in the remainder of 2020 to complete training hours, mostly web-based. I will advertise any of these opportunities that I’m aware of in my bi-monthly livestock newsletter that is available via email or postal mail. If you do not receive this newsletter and would like to, please contact my office to sign up.

Please let me know if I can be of assistance to you in any way.
