Xavier Update: COVID Protocols for Summer Activities

Dear Xavier Community,

We are incredibly proud of our St. Francis Xavier Catholic School community for successfully navigating the 2020-21 school year during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our schools have been open for in person student learning since August 2020. Our teachers and staff demonstrated great dedication and delivered an exceptional education to students throughout the year. Our students participated in extracurricular activities, worshiped together, and found creative ways to celebrate as a community throughout the school year. We appreciate everyone's assistance in complying with our COVID protocols and procedures throughout the school year.

Based on recent guidelines from the Diocese of Green Bay, the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Schools System has updated our COVID protocols for summer activities.

Xavier’s leadership team believes these modifications will maintain the safety and well being of our students and employees while at the same time recognizing the spread of COVID-19 in our local community continues to decrease.

Please know throughout the summer that we’ll:

Maintain cleaning and disinfecting all facilities used during the summer
Encourage hand washing and hygiene protocols
Follow CDC Guidelines for:
identifying close contacts
quarantine for close contacts
isolation for COVID positive cases
students and employees traveling internationally

Mask Guidelines for Summer Activities:

Effective June 9, 2021, the Xavier System will not require masks/facial coverings at our campuses/facilities.

Parents who would like their student to wear a mask/facial covering should contact their principal/program coordinator and our staff will support parents with this accommodation for their student.

COVID Cases & Dashboard:

The Xavier System will continue to update our COVID Dashboard with positive COVID cases of students and employees participating in our summer programs.

If a student involved in a Xavier summer program should test positive for COVID, parents should immediately contact the program coordinator and the Superintendent.

If an employee involved in a Xavier summer program should test positive for COVID, the employee should immediately contact Human Resources and the Superintendent.

More information about our preparations for the 2021-22 school year will be shared as decisions are finalized in the coming weeks.
