"It is our challenge and our delight at The Colorado Springs School to release the
inherent capacities of each individual, and I believe that in large measure, we succeed."
Margaret Campbell, Founding Headmistress, 1962
Dear families, alumni, grandparents, alumni parents, and friends,

Join us in reflecting on all that our students have accomplished in 2019 and all that we will deliver to students in 2020.   From the school's visionary founding Headmistress Margaret Campbell to the students who will walk across the Terrace this spring at Commencement, we send forth graduates who are prepared for a dynamic world. Integrity, Ingenuity, Independent Thinking, and Leadership. These are our core values, and they will always be in high demand.

The Colorado Springs School and its students thrive because of you! Many families choose to make end-of-year tax-deductible charitable gifts to The Colorado Springs School in December as the tax year comes to a close. We appreciate this opportunity as a 501c3 nonprofit organization to welcome your spirit of giving.

There is still time to make a difference in the life of a student or claim a tax credit!

TAX DEDUCTIBLE: As a non-profit, 501c3 gifts to CSS are fully tax deductible.

COLORADO CHILDCARE TAX CREDIT: Tremendous benefits are available with tax credits. Please review the tax advantages of the Colorado Child Care Tax Credit and consult a tax accountant to determine if this 50% tax credit might personally impact you as a Colorado taxpayer. If so, please designate your contribution to the Early Childhood Program. The Advancement Office will issue you a DR1317 in addition to our standard tax receipt in order for you to claim this tax credit on your Colorado taxes.

RECURRING GIFTS: You can set-up an indefinite or recurring monthly credit card contribution at www.css.org/give. (eg. $600/12 months = $50 per month). This can be done online or even over the phone.

IRA ROLLOVERS: Are you 70½ or older and own an IRA? Reduce your income and avoid taxes when you transfer funds from your IRA directly to a charity. Contact your IRA plan administrator to make a gift from your IRA to The Colorado Springs School .

PLANNED GIFTS: You can name the school in your estate plans to ensure a legacy.
