| Theme Circles Registration |

Registration is presently underway for our next season of Theme Circles! Groups will begin meeting at specific times during the third week of October, November, December, and January to explore the themes of Belonging, Attention, Awe and Integrity.
Theme Circles consist of about eight to ten members who meet with a trained facilitator at specific times each month to discuss, reflect, and explore the monthly spiritual theme. Participation in a Theme Circle is a wonderful way to make new friends, connect with old friends, and foster meaningful connections in our large congregation. After receiving and studying the monthly edition of
The Path
, participants choose a question or two to incorporate into their daily lives and then ultimately share that experience (or other thoughts or inspirations) when the group meets. Be aware that when you join a Theme Circle, you should make every effort to attend all meetings, although members will certainly understand your absence when you are out of town.
Sign-ups will extend online at this link through October 14. There will also be opportunities to sign up after the service on October 6 and 13. Each registrant will be asked to list first, second and third choice of group times. The sooner you sign up, the more likely you will get your first choice. You'll learn your Theme Circle group assignments soon after.

Exploring Paganism Chalice Circle Open to New Members

Members of the Exploring Paganism Chalice Circle gather
to listen, to learn, to share, and to grow in our own ways and together as we explore the many paths of Paganism and Earth-centered spirituality.
We meet on the second Sunday of each month at the UU Meeting House from 12 to 1:30 p.m.
Our previous discussion topics have included the Wheel of the Year, Making Magic, Magical Ethics, and Brigid - Goddess and Saint, among others. We have also shared some practical magical techniques and even had a Magical Show and Tell.
Our first meeting this year is October 13, 12-1:30 p.m. at the Meeting House.

Emma's Revolution Benefit Concert for Social Justice

You are invited to a concert by award-winning Emma's Revolution on Saturday, October 26 at 7:30 p.m. at the First UU Meeting House. This event is sponsored by First UU, Peace & Justice Center, and Front Porch Forum, and will benefit Vermont Interfaith Action, Migrant Justice, Gun Sense VT, and Black Lives of Unitarian Universalism.
Emma's Revolution writes and performs songs that fuel today's resistance movements, including "I Believe Her" in honor of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford and all survivors. Their music has been featured on NPR's All Things Considered, sung for the Dalai Lama, praised by Pete Seeger, and covered by Holly Near. Tickets are $22 Advance/$28 Door (no one turned away), available at emmasrevolution.com or at the Peace & Justice Center, 60 Lake St, Burlington.
Tickets will also be available on Sundays in the FUUSB Parlors after the service.

Dear Fellow Unitarian Universalists,
As a service and not a business, we offer one pilgrimage a year to a sacred site on the Earth. Since 2006 we have traveled with a small group (15-20) of fellow UU's to: India, Vietnam, Peru, Turkey, Belize, Romania, Italy, Portugal, Cambodia, Laos and New Mexico. The pilgrimages are led by Rev. Wayne Walder, a full-time minister in Toronto, Ontario, with his partner Joan Walder. We call them Mindful Journeys and each day we meditate and reflect in the presence of beauty.
We invite you to travel with us this year, to Peru and the wonders of Machu Picchu. Over the years Rev. Walder has developed friendships with several of the Shamans in the area. This gives us a unique and often private access to some of the most beautiful places on the planet.
