Dave Kring Donates Car Seats to Emmet County Sheriff's Department
With social distancing guidelines and COVID safety still a priority – Dave Kring was unable to host the annual Car Seat Safety Check event this year. But the importance of safe transportation for children is always great. The free event provided valuable information for both parents and children through evaluation of proper fit, installation and recall check by certified car seat technicians. If a car seat was determined to be unsafe, the Sheriff’s office provided a replacement for free.

Dave Kring has been the exclusive sponsor of this effort for almost ten years – donating the funds needed to purchase car seats, and hosting an annual check event at the dealership. Ongoing education is required to maintain certification, so the check event provides an opportunity for technicians and deputies to meet the requirements.

Since 2011, over 350 car seats have been distributed to the community. The donation made by Dave Kring again this year will be used to purchase another 100 Evenflo car seats for the Sheriff’s department. (Pictured left to right: Corporal Cole Brady, Dave Kring, and Sheriff Pete Wallin).

The Salvation Army of Petoskey Needs Your Help to "Rescue Christmas" this Year!
Due to store closings, reduced foot traffic at local stores and less people carrying cash, we could see a significant decrease of funds raised at Red Kettles this year; yet, the need has increased. We have already provided an increase of over $175,000 in emergency assistance through August and expect to see an increase in our Holiday Assistance as well. The Farley Calendar and Promotional Products Company and VP Demand Creation Services Announce a Joint Marketing and Selling Agreement!
In an effort to better reach and serve the Banking and Credit Union markets currently served by The Farley Calendar and Promotional Products Company of Boyne City, MI., Farley and VP Demand Creation Services of Traverse City will be working together to do just that. Farley, now celebrating 50 years of doing business with the financial sector nationwide, and VP, offering complementing products and services that will serve the industry well.

That, along with the addition of seasoned sales professional, Jeff Dufort, of Traverse City, to the sales efforts for both companies, should prove very beneficial for all involved. “Jeff and I shared the same profession, representing different companies, for a very long time. I am excited not only to partner with VP Demand Creation Services but also to have Jeff representing our companies in that partnership. VPDCS and Farley share a similar culture and customer bases but in complementing capacities. This partnership, along with Jeff’s sales experience and expertise, gives us a unique opportunity to offer expansive product lines and customer service that are second to none to the markets that we serve!” said Jeff Streelman, Owner of The Farley Calendar and Promotional Products Company.

“At VP Demand Creation Services, we have found numerous opportunities to deliver products and services to our national, state, and local clients from other local businesses,” said Dave Moore, owner and CEO of VPDCS. “Our Clients now utilize several of our local business partners, and we feel the products and services which The Farley Calendar and Promotional Products Company offers are a natural fit for our clients, as well”

“The Farley Calendar and Promotional Products Company and VPDCS have similar client bases, so having one sales rep/contact person makes sense. I am honored to be representing these two great companies,” said Jeff Dufort, Business Development Manager for both VPDCS and Farley. For more information on both companies please visit www.farleycalendars.com and www.VPdemandcreation.com

Charlevoix Conservation District Native Plant Demonstration Garden Planted!
We are excited to share with you our newly planted Native Garden! Provided all by the way of donations, starting with local native plant enthusiast, Pat Brinker, and her donation of $400 to begin the project. Pat's idea to begin a demonstration garden on site came together by way of additional plant donations from Vern Stephens of Designs By Nature and Birdsfoot Native Nursery of South Boardman. Additional support for the garden was also provided by participants through our Fall Native Plant Sale through flat donations and rounding up orders. A total of $280 was raised through our Fall sale, with our largest donation for this year's sale from local resident, Nancy Winter. Many thanks to everyone for their support - every little bit adds up and makes a huge difference!

Check out the photo gallery HERE! We can't wait to see what it looks like this time next year!
