Rent a Ride as Electric Scooters Return to Plano
Just in time for summer, Bird Rides is bringing electric scooters back to Plano. Just download the Bird Rides mobile app to pay by the minute to ride a Bird Rides scooter.

Riding a scooter instead of driving a vehicle, reduces carbon emissions and lessens traffic by having one less car on our City streets.

E-scooters travel at a maximum speed of 15 mph. City law only allows e-scooters to be used on streets with speed limits of 35 mph or below. Scooters must not be parked within a pedestrian pathway or blocking a driveway. Riders must be at least 18 years old and are required to obey all traffic laws and rules of the road. Riders are encouraged to wear a helmet on every ride. Find a scooter home zone near you.

To participate, pick a favorite photo of your precious pup and include your full name and your pup’s name in an email to [email protected] (one photo per Plano household).

The winners will receive cool prizes and their photos will be featured in the Live Green in Plano print news and utility bill insert.

Pet waste is polluting yards, parks, trails and sidewalks. "Doo the right thing" and pick up after your pet. Don't let rain or sprinklers wash waste into storm drains that lead to our waterway where it may harm our drinking water sources.

Pet waste is not compostable. Dispose of waste in a tied plastic bag in the trash. Plastic newspaper sleeves, and produce or grocery bags make great poo bags to carry on a walk.

It's everyone's responsibility to keep our community clean and healthy.
