The Downtown Project will focus on upgrading the infrastructure – below and above ground – in the Downtown area. The project’s goals are to repave the roadways, repair the sanitary sewer system, make drainage improvements, and upgrade pedestrian curb ramps.

The City's sewer system is critical infrastructure, and providing safe and reliable public sewer systems is an essential service. Sewer rehabilitation projects are critical to protecting public health, safeguarding water quality, sustaining natural resources and complying with environmental regulations. The Downtown Project is a critical part of this essential work.

The project began in April and is estimated to finish in September 2020.
