If you joined us for the first of our Spring Webinar Series on March 3, you know that we were the unfortunate victims of a Zoombomb attack, where someone seized our webinar platform and showed disturbing content, forcing us to end the webinar abruptly.
I apologize that this incident disrupted the first of our webinars with our southern Gulf of Mexico neighbors, and want to assure you that we have taken steps to ensure that this does not happen again. We've reported the takeover to the appropriate authorities and have changed webinar platforms. We are also now requiring advance registration.
Below is the updated registration link and webinar information. As you will note, we added an additional webinar to focus on the technical part of the March 3 program that was disrupted.
You will also find below a link to recordings of the organizational introductions that took place on March 3, along with the updated program flier that we hope you will share with your colleagues.

Please join the Gulf of Mexico Coastal Ocean Observing System (GCOOS), Texas A&M University (TAMU) and the Society for Underwater Technology (SUT) as we invite colleagues from two major Mexican marine research consortia to share information about their basic and applied research in the southern Gulf of Mexico.
During this webinar series, members of the Gulf of Mexico Marine Science Research Consortium (CIGOM) and the Mexican Center for Marine Energy Innovation (CEMIE-Océano) will discuss observations, scientific contributions and innovations, as well as databases, models, human capacities and physical infrastructure.
The webinars, which will be conducted in English, are meant to reach a U.S. audience that may or may not be familiar with CIGOM and CEMIE-Océano — including those at federal and state agencies involved in ocean management and research, and the private sector.
