Domaine De Villaine, Bourgogne Cote Chalonnaise, 'La Fortune' 2016 $45.99
One of the most famous and revered names of the Cote d'Or decided to purchase some land in the Cote Chalonnaise (just South of the Cote d'Or). These wines are like peering into the heart of the great wines of Domaine Romanee Conti, which Aubert is a co-owner. Savory, soulful, satiny tannins and a touch of non-organic minerality which reminds me of river rocks baking in the sun. As a bonus, its certified oranic.

Pullus Pinot Grigio, Slovenia 2018, $16.99
From the oldest winery in Slovenia (Ptujska Klet, 13th Century!) this is a great introduction to anyone wishing to try an "orange wine". The grape skins are left in contact with the pressed juice for 72 hours before fermentation - The resulting wine is dry, a beautifully light "orange" color with fresh lime and pear notes leading to a savory minerality. Clean, crisp, and complex at the same time this wine is great with fresh seafood and polenta.

Lopez de Heredia Vina Bosconia Rioja 2007, $38.99
Of all of Lopez de Heredia's offerings, this is the most Burgundian. It is a quietly complex and elegant wine with a savory component that makes it a wonderful option for the dining table.

Massimago 'Marchesa Mariabella' Valpolicella Ripasso Veneto 2015, $39.99
This is one of my favorite new arrivals. Classically Valpolicella: it is full of bright red cherries, savoury, and wonderfully structured with a smooth, rich texture. The wine is organic and very responsbily farmed - things that we like very much here at the shop. Plus, it is downright delicious and so, so satisfying. The perfect fireside wine after a long cold day.
