Dear IS Families
The first nine weeks ends today for Chartiers Valley students. We are so proud of our students, staff, and families for all their hard work and dedication through the various learning pathways. Staff members will be working to finalize marking period grades for students throughout this week. Report cards will be accessible online through Infinite Campus starting Monday, November 2. As always, if you have any questions about your child's grade, please do not hesitate to reach out to their teacher.
On Thursday, October 29, we will be having our Halloween Parties in each homeroom. As a reminder from previous notices, there will be no Halloween Parade this year due to COVID-19. For the Halloween Parties, students are allowed to wear a costume to school or Halloween themed attire. If dressing for Halloween, students will need to remain in their costume all day, so please be aware of student comfort throughout the school day. For all costumes, masks, face make-up, weapons, or accessories are not permitted. If you have a specific question about your child's costume, please reach out to your child's homeroom teacher. For the Halloween Parties, the PTG Homeroom Parent or designee will be providing a snack and an activity for the students to do. We ask that families do not send in additional snacks or items for the class. Only approved items from the PTG homeroom leads will be accepted and distributed.
November 2 and 3 are Parent/Teacher Conference Days and there is no school for students. If you have not registered for a Parent/Teacher Conference yet through the Virtual Open House presentation, please reach out to your child's teacher to schedule a conference.
DATE CLARIFICATION: Previous District communication reported that students have a half day on October 30. All Fridays are remote learning days for all students (CV Cyber, Hybrid, and Hybrid +2), so students should complete a half day of work remotely on October 30. Also, there is no school for students on Monday, November 2 and Tuesday, November 3.
