Frequently Asked Questions

When should I plan to arrive?
Your arrival in Kalamazoo depends on your interests. Events taking place on Friday evening include two theatrical productions by the WMU Theatre department and local theaters, and WMU's Night of Excellence.

How do I order tickets?
You can order event tickets through the Bronco   ticket office  with the promotion code FAMILY or call (269) 387-8092.

Does my WMU student need a ticket to the pre-game tailgate stampede?
Yes. All tailgate attendees need to purchase a ticket (wrist band). This is a "can't miss" event with a DJ, entertainment and fun activities for the whole family.

Can I sit with my WMU student at the football game?
Yes. WMU students get into the game for free by showing their Bronco ID card. Family and friends can purchase football tickets and sit with their WMU student in the student section (which spans one entire side of the stadium).

Tell me about the Sunday Brunch.
Our annual Family Weekend Sunday Brunch will be in the Valley Dining Center.  Advance ticket purchase is available for families. WMU students with a valid meal plan or dining dollars do not need a ticket - they can swipe their Bronco ID card. Delicious food in a beautiful setting - what better way to enjoy time with your student?

REMINDER:
Waldo Stadium has a  clear bag policy. Order your clear Bronco bag from the WMU Bookstore.

Career Preparation
Encourage your student to consider this opportunity to build their career-ready wardrobe at affordable prices.
Help Your Student Avoid Registration Holds
Did you know your student may still need to submit a final high school transcript to complete their file?
This is in addition to the high school transcript submitted when they applied. The final high school transcript shows grades for all courses taken during their senior year and a graduation date.

Students are notified of this requirement at the time of admission and receive additional reminders leading up to their enrollment at WMU. If students do not submit final college transcripts by  the time they enroll, a hold will be placed on their record which will impact their ability to register, update future registrations, or receive financial aid. Students can view the hold on their WMU Login.

If you think your student needs to submit a final college transcript, encourage them to visit wmich.edu/apply/transcripts to find out how and where to send them.
