Holiday Message from the CEO
As 2020 comes to an end, we look back on a year like no other. Despite all the challenges, the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce is still serving it's members with the same passion and determination as ever. Our vision for 2021 is clear; create a unified community partnership to lead Macon-Bibb's talent and workforce forward, creating a better environment to work, live, and do business.

Every day, we tackle the hard stuff so our members can focus on running their businesses. From lobbying Congress for small business protection and emergency funds to working with our local leadership in support of investments in education, workforce, and business success - we've worked hard to get things done.

And while we're fighting for the future of Macon-Bibb, we're not missing the chances to celebrate our accomplishments thus far. Read about our impact in the 2020 Progress Report attached below.

New Workforce Development Career Platform
GreaterMaconWorks.com is an interactive workforce development platform that links recruitment, skill building, and career navigation into one collaborative system, deployed both online and as a mobile app.

GreaterMaconWorks.com was developed to close the workforce gaps by informing, educating and developing students and job seekers, while directly connecting them to employers, career pathways and local jobs. Employers can use the network as an applicant management system, that provides a community supported system to engage job seekers and students. Comprehensive management tools provide reports to all stakeholders to analyze competency/skill demands, curriculum availability, recruitment, application and on-boarding activity across the community. For more information, reach out to Lynn Farmer at lfarmer@maconchamber.com.
