Hello friends,

As I noted in an earlier email to you, the Massachusetts Children’s Alliance is following Governor Baker’s guidance and instructions regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. It will likely come as no surprise that we have decided to postpone MACA’s 10th Annual Statewide Conference- Healing, Hope and Justice: An Advanced Conversation to the fall. The Preconference Institutes will be held on September 2, 2020 and the Conference will be held on September 3, 2020 . We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as we worked with the Sheraton, Keynote Speaker and Workshop presenters to finalize this new date.

Regarding registration:
  • If you are already registered for the conference we will automatically update your registration to our new date. You are all set to go for September 3rd!
  • If you have not already registered, we will keep registration open until the event is full. Early Bird rates will be extended to July 31st.
  • If you are no longer able to attend the conference, we will be honoring refunds throughout the process. Please email Grace Lee at glee@machildrensalliance.org to inquire about a refund

The MACA team and the Conference Planning Committee are hopeful that we will be able to reconvene in September but will continue to monitor the progression of COVID-19 throughout the coming months and stay in line with Governor Baker’s guidance and instructions. We will offer updated information about the conference on both the  MACA website   as well as on the  conference website . Additionally, we will share updated information via email.

Although the postponement may be disappointing, the health and safety of you all comes first, and I hope that our conference can serve as a celebratory reunion in the fall. We also wanted to offer our heartfelt thanks to all of the essential professionals who continue to serve victims of child abuse during this crisis. Thank you!

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the 10th Annual Statewide Conference, please do not hesitate to reach out to the MACA staff. Further COVID-19 resources will be available on the MACA website some time in the near future.

Sincerely,

Thomas M. King, LICSW
