Dear CGS Family -
As I indicated last week, our Session and TEs are preparing to re-introduce the celebration of communion into our worship rhythms at CGS. Final decisions about how to best gather for these observances will be influenced by a number of factors, such as:
- Our sanctuary's maximum safe seating capacity during COVID
- The total numbers of persons expected to consistently attend communion
- The proportion of our congregation that may only be comfortable receiving communion in gatherings of less than 50 persons
- The frequency with which such communion services can be accommodated logistically (e.g. availability of deacons, servers, and other volunteers, etc), given the above considerations
- The manner(s) of distributing the communion elements that our members are comfortable with.
