Words of Encouragement

During the beginning of quarantine I was mainly at home not really doing much. I’d go outside but I didn’t really get to see people until like May. In the middle of June we headed out to our cottage in Michigan and stayed there for two months. That kept me pretty busy. My favorite time of the year is always summer in Michigan and I think it was a big deal that we could gather during the pandemic because I didn’t even know if that was gonna happen. I was pretty bummed when my main camp in Michigan got canceled because not as many people went up to Michigan. I didn’t get to see some of my close friends. But there were plenty of people I was looking forward to seeing.

I really miss communion and confession of sins from church because it always feels good to know that you’re forgiven for your sins and that God loves you. I also like the sermon because it always teaches a good lesson on how to be a better person or just teaches you more about God and gets you closer which is really important to me because I want to have a strong relationship with Him. What I have learned from church has definitely helped me through this time. A prayer once a day or once a week always makes me feel better. It reminds me that it will be OK because God is watching over us and making sure we are safe. I did learn to do flips on the trampoline and actually land them. I really do miss the pew and eating the donuts - that’s one of my favorite parts of church. I want to thank the church for helping my relationship with God and being there my whole life. I love you church and I hope I can go back as soon as possible.
